Jayvado is quickly becoming a leader in the new wave of Canadian R&B, soul/pop artists. With a Venezuelan and Lebanese background, his musical journey has been inspired by various cultural influences. Blessed with an uncanny ability to appeal to audiences over many genres, his charm, appearance, charisma and work ethic define the polished artist he is today.

For the past four years, Jay has been busy performing across the country. From being the open acts for artists such as Lloyd (Epic Records) and Trey Songz (Atlantic Records), to headlining his own concerts, Jay has performed at virtually every opportunity. He did a benefit showcase performance for breast cancer research, performed at ‘Canada Rocks for Japan’, and has taken part in many other concerts and club showcases.

Jayvado has collaborated with various Canadian artists such as Harvey Stripes on the song “Material Girl” and Peter Jackson on the song “Can’t Get Enough” which also featured American rappers Style P, Sheek Louch and Jadakiss.  He also features on ”Private Island”, the brand new single from international DJ Mothorious ( Africa). After the success of his latest release ”Fired Up”, Jayvado has been working in the studio on his forthcoming album due out this year.

Inspired by artists such as Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Nirvana and Tupac, Jay describes his music as the new generation of R & B, soul and pop; a fusion of the raw emotion and wild vision of these creative geniuses. His lyrics speak to his life experiences, the trials and tribulations of love, and the quest for happiness. His music is a wild mix of eclectic references.
